in Mie Prefecture,Japan,1933.
Studied aesthetic and history of arts at Nagoya University,Japan.
Visited Afghanistan as a member of Nagoya University Scientific
Mission to Bamiyan for the first time, in summer1964.Since then,
has taken part frequently in the investigation of ancient sites
at Bamiyan in Afghanistan, and several times in West Asia, Central
Asia and South Asia.
1975-2003:Professor of Wako University in Tokyo. History of
Cultures of Asia History of Thoughts July,2003-the present time:
Has been participating in the Japan-UNESCO-Joint-Project for
protection and preservation of the ravaged archeological heritage
at Bamiyan,in Afghanistan. |
